1. Who We Are

Career Coach AI is developed and operated by ICI Tech Teknoloji A.Ş. ("Company", "we", "us", or "our"), a technology company registered in Turkey.

What Career Coach AI is: Career Coach AI is a personal interview preparation tool that helps job seekers practice mock interviews, receive structured AI feedback, and build confidence. It is not a job board, recruitment service, employment agency, or staffing platform. The app does not guarantee any employment outcome, job offer, or interview invitation. All hiring decisions are made solely by employers.

Company name disclaimer: Practice sessions may reference companies such as Google, Amazon, Meta, and others by name for preparation purposes only. Career Coach AI is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any company mentioned in its question bank or practice content.

2. How Your Content Is Processed — Read This First

Career Coach AI uses a third-party AI service provider to generate interview questions, feedback, and coaching responses.

Your interview answers and coaching chat content are sent to an AI provider. When you submit a practice answer or send a message in Career Coach Chat, that content is transmitted to a third-party AI service provider via API. By using these features, you consent to this transmission. The current AI provider is disclosed at /en/privacy/ai-provider.

Voice practice: When you use voice practice mode, your spoken answer is captured by your device's microphone, may be transcribed, and the transcript is processed by the AI provider for feedback. Voice recordings and transcripts may be stored locally on your device and/or in cloud storage.

Career data is sensitive. Your target company preferences, salary expectations, career weaknesses, and job application status are personal professional information. We process this data only to provide the Service and never use it for advertising profiling.

3. Data We Collect

Account Information: Email address, password (one-way hash), optional display name and profile photo. An account is required to use Career Coach AI.

Career Profile Data: Target job title, seniority level, industry, and target company preferences used to personalize practice sessions.

Interview Practice Content: Written or spoken answers submitted during practice sessions, session questions, and session history. Transmitted to AI provider for feedback generation.

Voice Recordings and Transcripts: Audio recorded during voice practice mode and text transcriptions generated from that audio. Processed by the AI provider.

Career Coach Chat Content: Messages you send in the AI coaching chat covering topics such as salary negotiation, career switching, promotion preparation, and interview strategy. Transmitted to AI provider for response generation.

Performance and Scoring Data: Session scores across 5 metrics (clarity, relevance, structure, confidence, depth), radar analysis results, weekly progress trends, and session history.

Job Tracker Data: Companies applied to, position names, interview stages, follow-up dates, and personal notes.

PDF Report Data: Session summaries, score history, and strength/weakness analyses exported as PDF.

Subscription and Purchase Data: Subscription tier and status, purchase date, renewal date, transaction ID. We never receive your payment card details.

Device and Technical Data: Device type, OS version, app version, IP address (truncated), time zone, crash logs.

Push Notification Data: Device push token if permission granted.

Communications Data: Email and message content from support contacts.

Career data including salary expectations, career weaknesses, and job application history is sensitive professional information. We apply heightened care to this data and never share it with advertising networks.

4. AI Service Provider

Career Coach AI uses a third-party AI service provider via API to generate feedback, questions, and coaching responses.

When you submit a practice answer or coaching chat message, the content is transmitted to this provider for processing. The provider generates a response, which is returned to you in the app. The current AI provider and their data handling terms are disclosed at /en/privacy/ai-provider.

We select AI providers that commit to not using API inputs to train their general models, applying appropriate security measures, and complying with applicable data protection regulations. A data processing agreement is in place with our AI provider.

We transmit only what is necessary for each request — we do not send your full account history for every API call.

5. Voice Practice — How Your Voice Is Handled

When you use voice practice mode, your microphone captures your spoken answer. The audio is transcribed into text. The transcript is then submitted to our AI provider for feedback analysis. Voice recordings may be stored locally on your device and/or synced to cloud storage. Transcripts are stored as part of your session history.

You can delete individual session recordings in-app. Revoking microphone permission via device settings disables voice practice but does not affect any other feature.

6. Job Tracker

The Job Tracker feature stores personal career information you enter about job applications, companies, interview stages, and follow-up actions. This data is stored locally and synced to cloud storage. It is not shared with any third party including the AI provider. It is used only to display your application pipeline within the app.

We do not sell personal data or career content. We do not use your interview answers or coaching content to train our own AI models. We do not share career data, salary information, or job application data with advertising networks. We do not use advertising identifiers (IDFA/GAID). We do not guarantee employment outcomes — the app is a practice tool only. We do not represent or act on behalf of any employer or company. We do not knowingly collect data from users under 18.

9. Third-Party Services

10. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We share data only as necessary: with our AI provider (interview and coaching content for feedback generation); with infrastructure and hosting providers (account and cloud sync data); with Apple or Google (subscription processing); with customer support providers (handling requests); with financial and legal advisors (compliance); with courts and regulators (lawful requests); with potential acquirers under strict confidentiality. We never share career content, salary data, or job tracker information with advertising networks.

11. International Data Transfers

ICI Tech Teknoloji A.Ş. is based in Turkey. Our AI provider and infrastructure providers may operate internationally. All transfers are subject to appropriate safeguards per KVKK Article 9, including standard contractual clauses.

12. Data Retention

Account data is retained for the duration of the account plus 3 years after deletion. Interview practice content and transcripts are retained for the duration of the account plus 1 year after deletion. Voice recordings are retained according to your in-app storage settings; cloud copies are deleted within 30 days of account deletion. Job Tracker data is retained for the duration of the account plus 1 year after deletion. Subscription records are retained for 10 years per Turkish commercial law. Support communications are retained for 3 years. Crash logs are deleted after 12 months.

13. Security

All data in transit uses TLS 1.2+ encryption. Server-stored data is encrypted at rest. AI provider transmissions use encrypted connections. Career and coaching content is protected with strict access controls. Regular security assessments are conducted.

14. Push Notifications

Notifications include daily practice reminders (opt-in), session score summaries (opt-in), streak and badge alerts (opt-in), and transactional messages (no opt-in required). Manage in Settings → Notifications.

15. Children's Privacy

Career Coach AI is intended for users aged 18 and older in the context of job seeking and professional development. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. Contact app@icitech.com.tr if you believe a child has submitted data.

16. Your Privacy Rights

Access, correct, or delete your data in-app or by contacting app@icitech.com.tr. Delete your account via Settings → Account → Delete Account. Export session data via Settings → Privacy → Export (where available). Delete individual practice sessions in-app. Revoke microphone permission in device settings. Withdraw marketing consent in Settings → Privacy → Marketing Preferences. We respond within 30 days, free of charge.

17. EEA and UK Users

If you are in the EEA or UK, GDPR applies. Read our GDPR Privacy Notice at /en/privacy/gdpr for AI provider transfer mechanisms, supervisory authority contacts, data portability rights, and Article 22 automated decision-making details.

Material changes notified at least 14 days in advance. Current version at /en/privacy.
